Greetings
I am work on the structural side of projects and was looking in the architectural model that was sent to our office. Number one thing I noticed was units set to 1/32" instead of 1/256" per what I believe to be standard. Second thing was a whole list of dimensions families set for rounding. For instance one was called ariel 1/32" round to 1/8". Does anyone know the reasoning behind this? Am I in the wrong for being so rigid in my ways as to not change the settings and holding fast to 1/256" as gospel?

We model to 1/256" and our base dimension is that as well but there are often circumstances where you will end up with actual x/256" dimensions where they are inappropriate. In most cases no building components are ever built to that tolerance so a rounded dimension in those locations are good practice.
