Hello all. I’m new to Revit and RevitCity. There is a project I'm diving into that is a house where I need to show variations of the model, such as a dozen different paint options, different types of siding, doors, windows, etc. I was hoping there was a clever method for managing this within a single Revit project file without having to make duplicates of objects and show/hide them with views or phases. That way, if I make a structural change to a wall, I don't have to synchronize that change across the duplicate objects. None of the tutorials I found have covered this particular action. Any guidance is appreciated. Thanks.
P.S. do I post newbie questions here or in the tech support forum?

Your question is fine here or the technical support. To answer your question, look in your Help and search Design Options, that is what you will most likely want to use.

Learn how to use and control design options. That will require duplicates of anything that is changed in a different option but all non-option elements will be the same in all views. For walls, if the basic material is the same, then use the paint tool to change the wall finish in different options. Then if the structure changes in the wall definition, it will change in all options.

From the online docs
"With design options, a team can develop, evaluate, and redesign building components and rooms within a single project file."
Sounds like exactly what I'm looking for. Thank you!
