using revit 2014,
HOW DOES THE GENERIC TAG WORK.
Dont tell me check HELP . I already did and its not there
Please help me i have to tag alot of objects that i created

What do you mean how does it work? You place a family and then tag it and the tag will appeaer next to the family. Are you having a specific problem? When you go to place a tag you have an option on the options bar at the top of your screen to add a leader.

Thank you so much for the reply . I had a problem defining the category of the family, I have some detail lines that i want to tag. So i want to create a new generic tag for these lines to define the type of each line.

You can't tag detail lines, that's all they are is lines, they hold no information.
