Respected Revit Masters
i got an issue with flooring
i have attended many trainings in revit, but still i have a doubt regarding floor finishing with tiles.
i would like to know, how i can put ceramic tiles in various sizes in a room, may be 2-3 different sizes of tiles comes together. or i may need to cut some patterns on the floor that is filled with marbles, like water jet cut designs.
i know how to add material but i am confused to make it tiles and other designs.
can anybody help

Are you talking for rendering purposes or just for a tile layout plan?

We usually do tile areas as thin floors which we layout in plan. We sketch the shape of each different floor for each tile and apply the correct material that has a model pattern so that we can adjust it in plan. The thin floor is placed just on top of the structural floor.

You need to apply the material you want to see rendered to the floor.

I think that bloggers method is just plain stupid.
Doing the thin floors is easy and easily scheduled in the correct category.
