So I'm working on a 75 story bilding and each time I cut a section just to see what's going on, it shows from about 100' above the building to 100' below and of course I have to drag the window way way down and way way up to just see the small area I want to see.  I can't find an option for this in the template dialogue box but all I want is maybe a level or 2 above and below the level I'm working at.

We have been using Revit for a long time but have never figured this out.  We just can't see a pattern to how and why Revit sets this value.  It looks like nobody else has an answer either.  Let's hope that this bump leads someone else to comment.

There is a plugin called from CAD-Q, called Naviate that can generate room sections. I have seen a presentation from them where thy generated like 4 sections for each room. I believe it can be handy in this situatioins. Unfortunately they are active only in the Northe Europe. Maybe this link helps:
