I wanted to render a floor plan with meterials..... I have used a camers to creat a view, but I wanted to keep the walls flat.... any Ideas??

what do you mean flat? Do you mean flat shaded, as in a single colour... If so, best to do a few different exports of the same view (rendered and shaded) and blend them in photoshop. If you don't want to see your walls vanishing, orientate a 3D isometric view to top and render it that way. HTH. Post edited on 2006-02-19 23:43:58

thanks for you help....Isometric top view is what i wanted Is there any way to edit the cut plane to show the doors and windows.... also can you add text or would that have to be done in photoshop thanks

Use the view -->Orient-->Other Then pick your floor plan you want. The scope box and view of the 3D will automatically be adjusted to match your floor plan. You can add text on the sheet. Dimensions can be added directly to the 3d View. HTH

I have add a level which would cut the through the plan, but when you change the orient to the new level the 3d image doesn't change....... It will not cut the wall Am I doing this right???
