I work for a company that wants surface patterns in each enclosed area. They also want logo's put on these areas. When I place the images in any format in the drawing they will not show up clearly in the drawing and all white areas of the images show the area color through them. It makes for fuzzy hard to read logos. The only solution I have found so far is to change the area transparency to the images appear through them but I am looking for other options to get the best looking final product...Thoughts?

How are you placing your images, as a decal?

If the image has been modified to set the background to transparent, then that would cause your problem.

no we have the images as jpegs brought in not as decals. we set up parameters for area boundries so that the surface patterns are a solid fill, those we had to make somewhat transparent so that the images showed up at least a little. I couldnt get the decals to show up all the time so I didn't use those in floor plan view.

Images inserted in this manner will be by default set to background and all model elements will be in front of it.  If set to forground, all model elements will be hidden.

Maybe you need a different process.  Decals will work but you need a host.  That probably means a floor which you may not have had.  If the decal is in a seperate workset, then that can be controlled.  Decals will also show in 3D views.
