I'm really struggling with this roof on this model. I've attached the file if someone could take a a look and help.

I've got this set up as a bunch of individiual roofs but i think it can be done with almost all one roof.  I really struggle with the roofs in revit.

Can anyone give me a hand and show me the best way to make this work?

Hi Arkman

It models up fairly simply if you exclude the bay window roofs (though I'm not sure how you intend it to look at the back of the garage?).

I just picked all the external walls with the same overhang, break the lines at the two bays and draw new lines at 45° inwards from the junction with the bay roofs. At the opposite end to the garage, split the outer line (running N/S) at points that align with the perpendicular lines before picking the two outer segments as defining the slope. Align the eaves (adjust height not overhang).

With the bay roofs its just a case of adjusting the pitch of the splayed facet to get them to meet at the right point (I got as near as curse it by making that 5 5/16"in12")

Cheers,

Cadence

Thanks for the help!  Sorry for the delay, I had to step away from this for a while.

I am going to inspect it to try and learn how it works.  I always struggle with roofs in revit and to see how someone else does it will be super helpful!

Thanks!
