Can someone help please!! Trying to insert a soldier course into a standard brick finish exterior wall to line up with a window cill and window head. I'm struggling - Can someone please help. I'm sure it's simple when you know how as everything is in Revit.

On your wall family, you need to edit the properties of the structure and split the finish, you can split the finish at a desired point by giving it a height, which will be just above your window, you can then insert another split finish at 225mm above this to give you your soldier course. Then just change the material and finish type of this 225mm split. Its very easy, you can also insert additional layers to your structure and assign different values to these layers, which can also be assigned to your wall. Note: Before you split the finish of the wall, preview the wall so that you can see it in section.

You can either do as Nathan says and go into your wall properties and split the finish, or, you can add a wall sweep and adjust its offset from the wall to make it flush. Check the tutorials in your help menu for a vertically compound wall. Good luck! Ruth
