Has anyone encountered this problem before (attached)? I inserted a family from a lighting manufacturer and the IES file that was part of it seems to be making Revit throw up....a bad render output.

Some initial research shows that there has been an issue with IES files in Revit and that it has to do with Absulte IES files:

http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/Revit-Architecture/Problem-rendering-when-using-an-quot-Absolute-quot-IES/td-p/3120130

Has anyone been successful editing the IES file and then rendering in Revit the way it was done in the linked article?

I saw this problem once, I believe you can solve this if you "Play" with "Adjust Exposure".

I still haven't had any luck here. Seems like all ies files are creating problems in Revit rendering environment. Does this work in 2014? I;m still running 2013 until january.

Any new insights on this? Do IES files work at all in Revit renderings? So far all I ever see are rainbows from the lights. Enlighten me!
