When I link structural file to architectural file, it is not allowing me to join the walls with columns in linked structural file. Is there any way to fix this issue? if i do not join columns and walls, some of the columns are going behind walls, not be visible in the plan. can somebody help? What is normal practise to use structural columns & beams in architectural file?

No good answer. Linked models do not 'join' or clean up with each other.

I would copy/monitor the columns.
Beams are a different issue but I doubt you have to join those.
