I have a project where it is necessary to present rooms and their areas graphically like a diagram. i.e. just the rooms as a sort of polyline with the room number. THen have the schedule along side.

I can turn off all the model elements apart from rooms and room tags.. and I can turn on interior fill which shows the boundary of each room. Thing is this doesn't print. I can export this to CAD as polylines which is fine but I would rather get all the outputs from Revit. I want the boundary of each room to show up as an outline when printed..

Also it would be ideal if I could dimension them.

Have attached an image of what I need.

Only work around I can think of is to export to CAD and then import this file back in. Then overwriting this CAD file when it needs updating..not ideal though and not all in Revit.

Thanks in advance..

Have you tried File>Export>Reports>Room/Area Report?

Definitely getting closer! This does what I'm after - only issue is it exports it from the model. Ideally I'd like to have a sheet set up with exactly this info on.

Thanks though that is a great help as it's heading in the right direction!
