Had a little issue that I've been ignoring for a while but got a bit of time so would like to resolve. Thefirst attached image shows an extract of a site plan. There is an upside down T shape in the middle of the image which is a sub region to the main topography. If you look to the left and below of this you can see a shadow the same shape which is being cast. This being a subregion I don't understand how it can be casting a shadow, let along one that is offset by several meters. But that is not all, in the top right there is also a shadow which is being cast by a boundary wall. Again this shadow is offset from the base of the wall several meters.
The shadows are normal when viewed in any other views, such as the 3D attached.
Anybody got any suggestions to what is causing this?
Using Revit 2014
Thanks
Simon

Is that a CAD import for the site? Turn it off and look again at what you have - I think then you will see the problem.

WWHub,
Thanks for reply, there is a cad survey imported, this didn't have any effect, hiding or completly removing. I have since resolved it though! In the Sun Settings the 'Ground Plane at Level' was ticked and selected as a basement level which is lower than the topographic level in that area, changing this seemed to resolve the odd shadows.
Thanks for advice anyway.

When you turned the CAD off - you should also have seen that your main topography was hidden. But since you still had a shadow, it was because of the setting you discovered.
