It's been a while since I've put together some CDs and I've come across this issue that I'm not even sure I'd encountered before. 

As you will see in the image, my elevation symbols are way out of the titleblock due to the fact that this particular building "flares out" as it gets to the top. (The upper diameter is represented by those 4 reference planes)

Is there a way to put the elevation symbols in different locations per each view? I'd like to get them close to the building in this view (where the building diameter is less) and move them out as the building flares out.

No the only way that I can think of is to use "dummy" tags and then hide your smart ones.

Don't use "dummy" tags.  Use ref other view.

Thanks, I was afraid of that answer. I figured surely there is a solution to that in R2014, but apparently not. It's silly you can control sections the way I want but not elevations.

I used to think that these could be controlled independently by view way back when..... maybe I'm just as forgetble about that as I am other things.
