I am working on a fairly complex revit project. My file was getting very large, so I purged unused to save some memory. Now, everytime I reopen my file all of my materials are missing. When I go into my materials manager the images that I have custom created are not there and I have to remove the image so that I can reupload the image. As soon as I do this, the material reappears where it was supposed to be. This is extrememly tedious and is wasting a lot of time. Is there anyway to fix this so that the materials will stay put?

You don't say what Revit and what update you are on so is this an issue?  Please let us know.  If up to date then report this problem to autodesk.

I never purge unused without reviewing and editing what gets purged.  You should do also.

If you have a pre-purge copy of your project, you should be able to transfer project standards.... and ONLY pick the pmaterials.  If you don't have a copy then you've learned another lesson.

My software is up to date.

I will admit that I did not review what I was purging prior to starting it.

My issue now is that my materials are missing every time I reopen my file. I have recreated and reimported my images for my materials severl times, but every time I open the file they are missing again. Is there any way to prevent this from happening? Do i maybe have a setting that could be causing this?
