HI Everyone
Just want to get peoples opinion on having the Central Model inaccessible to local users. I would like to lock the central model so that nobody can actually get in there and work in there and save. But I would also like to have the local user be able to sync in that file.
What I did is that I gave read permissions to the central file to everyone. But they cannot sync to it. So that option didn't work.
Does anyone have any other options so that people don't go into the central file and muck it all up. This is just precautionary as most of you probably already have had people corrupt the central file and worked in the central file. Nothing good really comes out of it.
Any advice would be great.
Thanks

I don't see a way to make it idiot proof. You have to always stress good practice.
It used to be that you had to tell Revit to create a local when you open the central. But that is the default now so we don't see any real problems.
