Hi All -  I'm working on editing an existing family in Revit MEP 2010. I've used a void extrusion to cut a hole in my face panel but this void is also cutting into the new group geometry that I want to fill the hole.  Is there a way to exclude what objects my void is cutting into? Is there another way I should be cutting the hole in the face panel?

Thanks for your help!

I don't know what's what in your model.  I would assume you have a void to cut the wall.  Is that what you are talking about?  Voids in families set to cut a solid will also cut all joined solids.  Does that halp you come up with an answer?

The geometry in the hole is not joined to the large solid, it is a separate model group dropped into the new hole. When I ungroup the geometry, it still cuts the pieces as shown.

Do you really mean goup?  Why would anything be grouped?

Did you try a nested family?
