2014, trying to make a c channel support for stairs but the profile is not aval. in the properties menu??

how do i load this into the project?? like in this tutorial...

In your project go to insert>load family>find the profile you want for your stringer and load it into the project.

NOTE:  That profile's usage has to be set to stair support in the family.

tried to load the profile.. it just doesn't load or work.

even when i copy the profile and make it stair based????

You have to use stair by component.

same as before...2014 revit

in the video (http://designreform.net/learning/2012/05/14/revit-2013-component-based-stairs)it works so good???

how do i get this profile in myb template?? maybe it would work from there??

I just looked at the profile used in a new project using a standard template.  The profile is assigned "generic" and not assigned to stairs.  Try a new project using the commercial template.  You will find the channel profile there.
