Is there a way to draw and lock in one step. The litte lock symbol disappears when you move to grab it.   Best to describe in this video... http://screencast.com/t/xZgFd1e4q7

Thanks.

Not that I have ever heard of. How would Revit know what you are trying to lock to?

if you look at the little video linke, revit DOES know what I want to lock to:  the line I just went over top of.  Same thing happens when you draw a wall on a grid... the little lock shows up but when you move your curser to pick it and lock it, it disappears.
