I downloaded from Revitcity a roof-curb family that has a cricket. I did a little customization to it and it's working great. Problem is that I can't area select it. I can click on it to select it, but when I do an area select, it's not included. This is for both an inclusive and non-incluse (right-to-left and left-to-right) select, so I know it's not that something is outside of the boundary. Is there a property or something else that would exclude a family from an area select?

Sorry - attach the family to the roof? They seem to have attached fine when I view in 2-D and 3-D.

I seem to have found the problem. Within View Range my Primary Range defined a space above my roof; i.e., Bottom was set above my roof. My View Depth was below the roof, so apparantly I could see items that I couldn't area select but could pick select? Not why that would be but changing Bottom to be below my roof fix things. I'd be interested in hearing why this is a good feature in Revit if what I think I'm seeing is accurate. (Not trying to be flippant. I'm just wondering if I'm missing something.)
