I've added a void sweep to my door as a raised panels.  They show up in fine when I'm in the family.  However, when I load it into a project the voids are not visible.  Please help.

A void will not show up in the project - only the affects of the void.

Post your family.

A void is not a 3D element - it changes a solid 3D element's geometry.  The void 'shape' will show up in the family so you will see it there but it that's all.  If your void does not cut the solid in the family then it will not affect the family.

Ok, not really sure what that means but my next question is how do I get the raised panel look that is in the family to also appear in a project when I'm in a 3d view?

Your family works just fine.

You were able to load it into a project and the voids appeared as planned?  I just tried loading into a new project and still not getting the voids to show up.

The family seemed to work just fine but I tested it again and found your problem.

You have built some items that are associated with the wrong plane.  If you change your host wall thickness to 6", your door seems to work fine but in a 1'6' wall, it is really bad.

Building wall hosted objects demands you pay attention to hosting.  Test the family in a thick wall to discover what doesn't move correctly, then rework those in the family.
