We have just received the Revit survey for our building which I want to overlay on my model. The problem is when I link the survey model to my model it disappears and I can only see it through a 3d view.  I have tried to locate it through an elevation view by moving the elevation extends and crop regions out but I still cannot see it. What is the best way to link/Overlay Revit models?

Do you mean the site is off to the side?  ... or below your model elements?....

You say Revit survye but do you mean a CAD dwg or really a Revit Model?

We are renovating a building which I originally drew by inserting dwg survey drawings into my revit project.

We have now recieved a revit survey of the building which is more accurate. ( I have now managed to overlay the survey model over mine)

Is it better to:

1. Delete my existing information, then copy / paste the existing information from the survey model into my model or

2. Delete my existing information and have the survey model referenced into my file.

I will need to remove existing openings and add new openings into the existing walls.
