Hi

Thsi must be so simple an issue, but I have spent more than a few hours trying to figure it out. So I thout I will put it out here and get any help I can.

I want to create reveals around windows and doors in this project. I created a profile sweep (reveal) and selected the path around the opening. So far so good. But when I change the properties of teh sweep from solid to void- I get an error message. "Some Void Forms of this family do not cut anything and will be deleted. To make a Void Form cut something else use the Cut Geometry tool." I need to be able to place this reveal around many different opening in the project.

I haev attached the model here. The solid sweep that is around the window needs to be a void instead. I have tried it a 100 times on different wall profiles, with no luck. I really appreciate if anyone can help me solve this puzzle.

Thanks much.

You need to cut the wall with the void.  If you are placing this in a lot of areas in the project you are better off actually making it a part of the window family. I am trying to picture why you would want a reveal around the windows and door?  there is no model attached. It is most likely to big.

Thats what I thought... tried to use "Cut Geometry" but it was not letting me do that either!
