I'm using Revit v2013, and fairly new to using Revit.  I have a floor full of units in a condo that I have placed callouts for, however the floor plan is so crowded now because in order to include the party wall in the enlarged plans, I have to over lap the callout lines and it ends up looking like a 2 bubble ven diagram at each party wall.

I would like to show the dashed lines of the callouts down the center of the walls but show the full thickness of the wall on the enlarged plan.  Is there anyway to do this?

Please see attached jpeg exhibits for clarification.

Thanks for your help!

The first image is your only option.  There are annotative work arounds you can find if you search the forums but they are not parametric.

I would just suffer and use the #1 image.

This is the solution you want.

1.       Do your callout as you want (stretch as need it to show what you need)

2.       Then then hide it in view

3.       Do another callout and reference it to the callout you just hide.  Doing this it will allow you to stretch as need it without affecting the view.

Great tip.

Make the original callout big enough to show all you want in the callout then hide that callout in the view.

Then make a new callout and before picking the callout corner points on screen click the 'Reference other view' option and then selct the previous view in the drop down, then pick the corner points mid-way thru the party walls. This is what will print but the original view shows the wider area.
