how can i make a window that is not a rectangle?
i made a family but the wall opens a rectangle hole, i need a hole that folow the shape of my window

You need to remove the wall cut from the family and add a wall based void that cuts it instead. PLEASE LISTEN,,,, You will have problems if you don't. Make the void somewhere outside of your element in any shape then set it to cut the wall. After successfully do that, then edit the void to the shape and location you want.
If you initially place the void where you want it, the void will cut all of your components as well as your wall.
