This is not an annotation family. It's a casework family.

You created the parameter and did not pick shared. It can not be changed from family to shared afterwards. If you want a shared, delete this one and start again.

This dialogue is what is displayed when I try to create a new parameter. Not a parameter that already exists.

Do you have a shared parameter file available and set in this family?

Now I have a similar thing happening in a generic annotation family. Why would these parameter options be greyed out? This is starting to get frustrating. If anyone has a solution to this please let me know!
Thanks

Sorry - we would need to see the family.

You said its not an annotation family but they download calls it a GENERICANNOTATION? I have a rendering running right now so I can't open the file. Is it an annotation family or not?

Oh sorry. You're right. I confused this post with another issue I had. I actually think I abandoned the casework problem. I'm sorry for the confusion. UE
