I am really interested in this and downloading a trial version now after speaking with a sales rep.

Before you buy that, make sure you investigate the add-ons available in 2014 that are free. There is a framing add-on that does stud framing.

This is true, however depends what you are looking to use it for. The Autodesk add-in works to an extent at modelling studs in your walls but if you are trying to actually manufacture from your model with accurate quantity take-offs, shop drawings, cut lists etc. then you do need MWF.

Thanks for the heads up WWHub, I will definately investigate those avenues, but this MWF Pro seems to suit our needs here to a T.
I will post neurtal feedback here when we try it out.

by the way WWHub i am searching the apps, and cannot find anything relative to what you mentioned?
any ideas on the name of that framing app? I searched for stud, framing, and wall within the app page and didn't find much
