Hi all,
I am using an elevation view of doors and windows placed in my ground floor plan under a phase called doors and windows.
I am then able to drop the elevations of these doors and windows into a door and window schedule drawing sheet.
However, the door and window schedule that is generated counts these elements under the quantity column.
How do I stop this from happening?

Hi all,
I solved my challenge. I set the 'phase filter' option within the 'view properties' dialogue box to 'Show New' and Phase to 'New Construction'
This limits the schedule to only counting doors and windows actively used in the construction project.

hey nate,
first, why do you need to create a phaze? i would just put your section/or elevation and in the properties just hide if coarser than 1:10 or 1:20 that way you won't see it on your normal floor plan.
second, what do you mean counting in the window list? it should! if you don't want it there just delete from the schedule...

Hi eldados,
Are you creating a traditional door and window schedule drawing sheet?
If so, using the method you describe, how are you bringing in each door/window type elevation?

the most important thing here is - you are better using legends to create pictorial representation of all family items including doors and windows. legends do not add the element into the actual schedule. the template that revit loads automatically has a preloaded example - have a look and then check out help for far more info.

yeah mate, now that legends work like they should, you are better off using them. back in the days I had to create a section, hide and than drag into a sheet for a graphical representation... gone are the days...
