I am working on a building that has a series of cast-in-place tilt up concrete panels. We are looking to create a smart tag that will automatically update if the dimensions of a panel change.
I.E. panel 1 and panel 2 are idential therefore they both are tagged in the schedule as panel "A" But then we stretch panel "2" therefore it is no longer identical to panel "1" Is there a way to make a smart tag that automatically updates the tag on panel "2" to read as tag "B" without manually changing the tag ID.
I hope this make sense. It seems somewhat simple but we haven't been able to figure it out.

So your panel is A is 4' and your panel B is 5' what happens when you stretch to 4'6"...? Come on - how can any program deal with multiple unknown variables? This is what Revit has TYPES .... Set the types to specific widths if you have to include the width in a type tag.
But really - should you be doing it this way? (NO WE ALWAYS DID IT THIS WAY HERE). This is where schedules are much more flexible and useful. You can use mark numbers and a schedule to show widths.
