Hi,

I'm trying to modify a lighting fixture family to create the floor plan symbol shown in the first image.  However, since the family is wall-hosted, I've been unable to add a filled region to the back view of the family.  Could anyone help me in figuring out how to add a filled region to the side view of this family?

To add any symbol to a side of a family first you have to set the workplane to that side (go to left/right or front/back plane). Then create the symbol with the appropiate level of detail.

But once the workplane is set, how can I create a filled region using symbolic lines??

Use the filled region tool, from the anotattion tab, once you have set the workplane to "front/back". Use a front or back view to draw that anotattive symbol.

If you still have problems, you can upload the rfa file.
