In Revit 2013, I have a model of a house with a separate garage. I want to use an area plan to calculate the total area, including the physically separate garage. Is there an easy way to combine the areas (the overall house and the separate garage)? The only solution I can think of so far is by using a formula in the schedule (somehow) and then outputting that data to a tag somewhere.
Thanks

I figured out a decent solution.
Basically you just have the schedule add all the areas together, hide the area tags, and drag the schedule and plan onto a sheet. I found this link pretty much explained what to do:

Hi! You can use your area plan and do a schedule to total the areas. See attached.

Why can't you add room tag with area to the garage and generate totals in the schedule. You can play with the filters in the schedule to calulate the house area totals + garage total.
