I have been using Revit in a macbook pro and parrells for many years without a problem. Currently I am using Revit 14, latest release of Parrells and a very fast three month old very fast Macbook Pro with current updated display drivers, etc. I recently took the Macbook with me on a trip intending to do some drawing. I discovered that without the external monitor connected, the Revit window got the shakes, most evident in the two small drop down boxes in the lower right of the status bar. It was like the was a cursor in the boxes flashing on and off, very rapidly.

The program was locked up and couldn't be used. I tried all of tghe different display options, both windows and in IOS, nothing helped. Upon my return and reconnection to the external monitor, the problem went away. I can make it happen even with an external monitor attached if I unplug the monitor and then reconnect it. A reboot solves the problem.

I am searching for a solution as I like to do some drafting when I travel. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks

steve

You maybe initially installed with the external monitor, try uninstall then use the built-in display instead.
