Hi!
I've been trying to add a keynote legend to my sheets. I'm trying to make my keynotes sheet specific, and I've succeeded in creating a text file with my own keynotes that will display the keynote text in the properties panel.
However, once I open the keynote legend, the entire keynote text column comes out empty. It remains empty even after dragging it into the sheet.
How can I fix this??

You have to assign the keynote file to your project. Annotate tab / the pulldown under tags / keynote settings - find your file.

Yup, that was already done. Still no keynote text in the second column.

Yes, the view on the sheet is the keynoted one.

Wait a minute .... do I see your coded notes as a shedule? That is your problem. You create the schedule kay as a legend. View tab / legend pulldown - keynote legend.

Could you clarify what you think is wrong?
I created the keynote legend through the view tab, and I'm still getting an empty keynote text problem.

Where does the 1,2,3,4 come from? Do you have 4 different keynotes in the views on this sheet? If so, then the problem is your keynote file was not done correctly.

No, I don't have 4 different keynotes. Not sure where the 1-4 is coming from. Here's my text file.

Listen. If a keynote legend doesn't see any keynotes, then there is no data displayed at all. The fact that you have 4 numbers says revit is reading some data and the fact that your second column is blank says it can't read that data. Change your keynote settings to numbering by keynote. If your keynotes used are actual keynote number something like 36, 55 and 5, then those numbers will be in your legend instead of 1,2,3,4. Then you will no for sure that your keynote file was built wrong.
Keynote files are simple txt files with no special formatting. Each keynote is in one single line with <keynote num> <TAB> <keynote data> only a return at the end.

If you only have 2 keynotes then the 1,2,3,4 bothers me.
ARe you using phases or design options?
Your legend properties should look something like mine when you click on fields. NOTE - No view template is assigned. and no filter

Thanks for the help! I realized someone else had already started adding keynotes to the project that did not contain text. I went ahead and just added the keynotes I wanted to the text file. For now, the problem's resolved.
