Revit 2013

I'm drawing a wall section and would like the roof insulation held back at the edge and the plywood and standing seam to extend out over the eave.  See the image attached.  The red "X" is over the section I want deleted.  The other red lines are outlining the rough shape I'm looking for.  I currently have the rafter cut at "2 Cut Square."

Thanks,

.blc

For section views, you can use edit cut profile but that doesn't solve the model issue.

You have multiple possibilities here.

  • A void sweep to cut the roof would be one.
  • Two roofs either a thin larger roof of only the top material on a lower roof with your insulation etc would be one,
  • another is a roof with the perimeter at the end of the insulation and an outer roof that is just that extension then join the roofs.

Got'cha.  I've done the layered roof option in the past.  Though, I'm trying to hone my Revit ways toward efficiency and didn't know if there was a better way without juggling two roofs.

Thanks,
