i've brought in a 3D tub component on the first floor-all visibilities are on, level set to first floor and view range is proper for this level. can only see a few lines the define the outline of the pump below the deck of the tub however if i set the level to another level and open that view, it's visible. that same component is in another drawing which shows up as it should. there are no plan regions or crop regions to cause this. any ideas? i must be overlooking something obvious but can't figure it out.

Is this a 2d or 3d family and if 3d is it visible in plan?

Did you chck the level above(below) the levelit is inserted on?   Cut a section in front of the machine and see where it really is.

I just figured it out literally minutes ago! We didn't have imports in families checked in our visibility graphics > imported categories tab. The symbolic lines in the family were a dwg import.

 Thanks for the response!

Part of the problem we have on this site is that the poster really needs to be as descriptive as they can be.  That would have been a hard one to get to without having the family to look at.

I would change this family if you are planning on using it elsewhere.  There is really no reason not to go over those imported lines with the pointer and making them be Revit lines.... delete the import.
