Ok first time poster.

i'm trying to create a surface pattern for horizontal siding that has two different width profiles. Everytime time i try and load my .PAT file it says  No 'Model' type patterns found. I have created it as a Model Pattern so why is doing this...

Here is what I have written in my .pat file

%UNITS=INCH

*Horizontal Lap Siding- 10 3/4" x 4"

;%TYPE=MODEL

0,      0,      0,      0,      4

0,      0,      0,      0,      10.75

I don't have the units on any of my files and I can't remember where that is allowed or the proper syntax.  Erase it and see what happens.

Erase the UNITS line to default to INCHES or add a leading semicolon to comply with the required syntax, viz:

;%UNITS=INCH

Your pattern superimposes two sets of siding widths giving a quasi-random effect. This will alternate the two widths:

;%UNITS=INCH

*Horizontal Lap Siding- 10 3/4" x 4"

;%TYPE=MODEL

0,      0,      0,      0,      14.75

0,      0,      4,      0,      14.75
