A commonly needed room tag displays L x W of the room any hint in how to do that?

Check the family explorer under annotation-tags-room tags. As far as i know, it's not automated, you have to fill in the dimensions manually.

All rooms are rectangular so this automation will not be possible. You can enter the value in manually as a number though.
