They want locations in my schedles. Floors,railings windows doors. Is there any way I can display which room doors and windows are in,associate to the room tag? Maybe a way to include the location in the tag name for floors and railings. Tried keynotes but it would be easier just typing them in manually cause geneally I don't need to identify them on the plan just in the schedule.

You can define a ROOM NAME parameter inside the family, e.g. open your window family and add a shared parameter that you have already set up in your shared parameter file called ROOM NAME. If you are not familiar with shared parameters, read through the help files. after you have re-loaded the family into your file, you can enter the "value" of the ROOM NAME in the property dialogue for each window or group of windows if you have more than one window per room. once you've identified all your windows to their specific room, you can sort or filter your schedule using your new parameters.

Only Doors and Windows are room aware:
In your schedule you can add fields for FROM ROOM or TO ROOM.
