I have a custom window that works just fine in my model except that it doesn't cut in plan.  I've read through similar threads addressing the reference level, view range, and Shared checkbox but my window continues to only display the top of the frame and not a section through the window.

The attached images show

I have several comments about your family.

 

Why didn't you use the built-in opening cut instead of the void extrusion?  If you have only one cut required, the opening cut is a better solution.

 

Th item causing your visibility problems is the head extrusion.  You have that set to show in plan/rcp.  Turn that switch off.

 

And finally, you should control your window using reference planes, including horizontal ones at sill and head, then add your parametic dimensions to those planes.
