Is there a way to name two grids in the same model the same name.  I have been told it is posible but not how to make it so.  What I have is a existing building and anew addition.  Both use numbered grids in one axis and capital letters in the other.  There will need to be some repetition of names.  How can this be done or is it not posible?

hi,

WWHub is correct. but if youre really forced to do THIS.... you can modify your grid head family and using new shared parameter. see attached

So did you create a new grid type?  The one that I have has a name in identity data that shows in the bubble, I have tried to make the text line and an identity data parameter, but it does not inform the bubble.  I guess that I need to create a new bubble that pulls from one of these new parameters.  Right?

Yeah that is what I did, then I just created a new grid head from an existing one and used the new parameter.  It worked!  Thank you for your help with this problem.
