I created two user files: User A and User B. However, when try to open User B file on another computer (computer B) it says the file contains an incorrect schema...I thought to try to create the user B file from computer B from the central file but computer B does not recognize it as a central file. I know I was able to do this before but for some reason I cant this time. Help

Also,  I am using dropbox.  I thought maybe this was a path issue so I made sure that the path was the same on both computers.  But is still does not work.

Maybe I shouldnt have but I had to create a new central from a local file because the local file at one point would not sync with the central...

Well, I'm sure I've confused everyone by now...

I don't believe you can use dropbox with a central file.  Please re-read your help on worksharing.

What do you mean?  My file was started in the drop box.

Revit by default always creates a central file in the C drive.  But even when I copied the central file in the drop box, it worked before.. now it does not work at all.

Read this subject in your HELP:

Worksharing in revit means that all computer must have the same path to the central file. The central file has to be only 1 file to handle real time managment of keys and permissions. Therefore we have tested and concluded that Dropbox cannot be used to host the central file (there are a few websites that also show that central file cannot be shares using dropbox). Are you working on a local area network or sharing a project over the internet?
