Hi all,

I am a structural Engineer, new to revit, I am working on the 2nd floor framing plan, when I adjust my cut plane to the window header reference plane, I cannot see my door openings, when I set my cut plane to the door header reference plane, I cannot see my window header, some one please help me fixing this problem,

Well it is a view range issue.  You don't tell us your window height or your door height from finish floor so its hard to say.  I'm assumign your window is higher than your door so in that case you will need to use a Plan Region around your windows.

Thank you for the reply, I think I figured it out, I changed my setting to Wireframe mode (earlier I was working on Hidden mode) and the underlay settings to third floor framing plan, since I am working on the second floor, so now I am able to see my window and door headers.

However, you mentioned that you need to use a Plan Region around windows, could you pleae elaborate more on this, yes my windows are higher than the doors,

EXPERIMENT!  Try a plan region and see whgat happens.  If you don't know what a plan region is - look it up in your HELP.
