Hi everyone,

I would like to like to select several elements on one level only with the window selection tool. Everytime I do this I select automatically elements on lower levels as well ehich are in this window . Is there a way to lock other layers or a command to select elements from this layer only? I tried selection filters but was not successful.

Thanks in advance Martin

You can click on one element then right click and select "Select All Instances>Visable In view"

Make sure your view depth is set correctly and you don't have an underlay on.

Thanks for the tip with the view depth that helped a lot.

The option to right click on the element and then select "Select All Instances>Visable In view" didn't work if the view depth is set incorrectly. It still selects the instances on the lower level as well. Also selecting different elements with the window tool doesn't allow you to right click and select "Select All Instances>Visable In view"

Correct.  Select All Instances>Visable In View will select ALL of the instances visable in the view so if you see it below it will select it.
