Working in 2013 Revit Architecture and cannot snap onto corners or walls, door openings etc to do dimensioning. However it lets me snap onto them when I "measure" with the purple square showing up around the corner when I hover the mouse.

I've tried messing with cores/faces/centerlines option, and I swear I have endpoints/corners check marked to object snap. What could be the problem?

Please Help!

Thanks,

Matt

Have you tried liner dimension and see if it works in your case?

A workaround is to place an annotation line coincident with the line you want to measure. It will let you measure to that line.

Yes, linear still wont snap and show the endpoint box Sad I have quite a bit of dim lines to place and overlapping annotation lines would be pretty time consuming Sad

I'm thinking it's some preference or setting somewhere that I may have messed up previously on the project. I would have swore it worked before early on.

Use "ALIGNED " always works

"LINEAR" has not worked riight since 2010 when AUTODESK brougt in the ribbon and the USER INTERFACE fix when people did not like the RIBBON.
