Good day, I have some problems with Cutting Walls and Roofs / Gutters:

You can see in the picture what my model looks like ("what I've got") and what I'm trying to get ("what I want"). By the way, I want to get that in 3D:1. You can see that in the below picture ("what I want") the insulation is cutted when it reaches the gutter. How can I cut the insulation.2. I also have to make a sloped cut on top of the wall. The issue is: Can I make a cut in a wall not by a footprint in the elevation but in the section of it? (Cut profile is not what I want, I want 3D). I was trying with a mass, but I couldn't.

Thank you.

There is no reason to model elements that should be detail items.  For 3D purposes, you can model the 'gutter' in the roof face using a void sweep but everything else I would do in a 3D section cut.  Learn to use edit cut profile.  Under the view tab - you can read about that in your HELP.

Hello WWHub, the Cut Profile tool is fine when you need 2D details, but I need an axonometric view (this project is for university, I'm student in architecture). You said:  For 3D purposes, you can model the 'gutter' in the roof face using a void sweep How can I do a Void Sweep on a Roof Element? That's what I want to do.Thank you.

In this instance, I would create an in-place family - void sweep - set the category to roof, pick your roof plane as the work plane - sketch your path then your profile (must have a view to do this - a perpindicular section?) then before you finish, set the void to cut the roof.

That's a fantastic solution. Smile I'm doing that, the only problem I have is that I don't know how to set the void to cut the roof. How to do that?
