I need to show an existing building with new materials on the exterior.  I have three phases set up - Existig, demo, New construction.  I am working in new construction when I paint the existing wall yet it shows up on the existing phase as well.  I am placing both of these drawings on a sheet to show the changes.  How do I mak this work?

Thanks

Paint is a model change, not just an image change.

Your best method is to change your wall so that it does not incude the exterior skin.  Then add a thin wall (existing phase) on the exterior that is your existing exterior.  You can then show that - and demo it.  Then have another new phase thin wall with your final exterior.

Thanks for the advice.  It's a good idea but unfortunately at this stage to make a change like this will require a tremendous amount of rework.  The structure is a bit complex.  I think this time around I may just save two verisons of the file. One showing the existing and one showing the new.  When it comes time to plot, I will just print the existing from the one file and add into the new.  If there is a simpler way, I'm all ears.

Thanks again
