I'm working on a renovation so there are both existing and new work shown on the drawings.  It's easy to use the phase feature to that the existing model elements are lightened up and the new work stays darker.  However, the annotations don't change.  There are certain tags and other annotations for the existing portion of the buildling that I'd like to have shown on the new work plan, but lightened to match the model elements.  I know in the "VG" menu, I can put the annotation categories on 'halftone' but then my new work ones look like that as well.

Is there any way to do those sorts of graphical overrides on an instance by instance basis, so that these drawings look right?

Use different views set to each phase and annotated accordingly.

I figured it out.  I can select the elements that I want to be light, right click and say 'override graphics' then click the 'halftone' box.
