I am trying in vain to make a roof follow a stair. I have a set of walkways around a building at a ski resort all at a different slope & I have to show a semi circular roof following at 2.4 m.
I have shown an image of the revit stairs with the posts extended to take the roof. I have a work plane set to the slope & had an extruded roof at a level plane but could not get it to follow the slope..
The intention is to model the stairs & then to take the rendered stairs into a photo of the buildings in photoshop for a planning presentation. The buildings are not part of the project so they will not be modeled.

Stairs + landing + stairs etc. 2 Post at start of stair flight and 2 at end of each flight. Stair has slope naturally. I need to run a roof over the stair to sit or should I say pitch on top of the posts. So the roof runs down the stair, a little bit of level roof at the landing then the roof runs down parrallel & on top of the next stair flight & so on down the slope.

haha.. i see..(what was my first reply????)
if category doesn't matter, just use railing for it..
make profile family for roof and apply it for railing of the stairs you want.
problem solved?
