Hi Everyone. I'm using Revit Architecture 2013.
I'm drawing an existing building and we are removing some of the existing finishes and replacing it. I tried to use the parts tool to separate the wall finish from the rest of the existing wall and changed its phasing to be demolished. When I looked at my demolition and new plans, the finish was still there.
Is there a way to fix this? Also, was the parts tool the right tool to use in this case or should I just draw the existing wall and the finish separately?

I would do this differently. I suggest using a thin wall over your base wall with the two joined. All doors / windows & openings will still work and you can demo to your hearts content.
