Revit 2013

In section you can unlock a wall material end and drag them up and down for brick ledges or whatever.  Is there a way to do this in plan as well?  I would like to unlock the wall ends so I can adjust each material separately at wall ends in plan.

No, You can't do this.

  1. You can set wall wraps in the wall definition.
  2. You can "paint" the ends of walls with a material
  3. and in plan views, uou can edit the cut profile (2D only solution).

1. Does not quite do what I want.

2. Only in elevation I assume - explain if it can be used in plan.

3. Can you elaborate on "edit the cut profile" in plan view.  I cannot find any Revit HELP on that.  Thanks.

Edit Cut profile tool is under the view tab.  It is available in all 2D views and is described in your HELP here:

Changing the Cut Profile of Elements

Very nice.  That did the trick.  Thank you very much.

Learn to use this tool in section views too so you don't have to add filled regions.
